Description
Our amethyst tumbles are great for décor and gemstone collections. These lovely tumbles add a gorgeous pop of color where ever they are placed. Some of these tumbles have chevron shapes in the pieces that are caused by blending with milky, white quartz during formation. Chevron (or dream) amethyst tumbles tend to have deeper purple coloration. These tumbles were from a vein of dream amethyst. However, we have listed these as amethyst since some of the pieces do not have the white chevrons. We sell these beauties by the piece. Get yours today!

One of our favorite suggestions for using amethyst tumbles in gemstone décor is to add them to a crystal or glass plate, bowl, vase, or other container. You can layer them or use them to surround figurines or other display pieces, too. With all of the colors and variation available in gemstone tumbles and chips, there is almost always a complementary or accent color that will suit your personal style, Southwestern or otherwise.
What is Dream Amethyst?
Dream amethyst, also known as chevron amethyst, is composed of a combination of amethyst and white quartz in alternating layers or bands. This unique composition gives dream amethyst its distinctive appearance of purple amethyst interlaced with white quartz, creating a chevron or V-shaped pattern. Common amethyst, on the other hand, consists primarily of purple quartz with varying levels of iron impurities that give it its characteristic purple color. The presence of white quartz bands in dream amethyst sets it apart from traditional amethyst, offering a visually striking contrast between the purple and white layers. This distinctive patterning makes dream amethyst a sought-after variety among collectors and enthusiasts of gemstones.
